Sunday 25 October
Chestnuts and wine — the great classic of an Apennine autumn
On the last Sunday of October, we uncork a few bottles and roast chestnuts from Monte Santo Stefano, the hill that rises above the Castle of Vigoleno. Charcuterie boards of local products, sourced from small artisan producers, a few dishes from the cantina's small farm kitchen, and ancestral wine, made the old-fashioned way. All of this here in the cellar, in our warm and welcoming panoramic dining room — just like the scent of freshly roasted chestnuts.
