The agritourism Valle dei Cavalieri is placed in the small village of Succiso, in the municipality of Ventasso, in the province of Reggio Emilia and inside the Appennino tosco emiliano National Park.
Succiso is at 1,000 meters above the sea level, at the foot of the mountain Alpe di Succiso whose peak reaches the 2,000 meters.
Inside the agritourism there are the coffee shop, a small shop with local products, the restaurant that can host 180 people, 16 beds in the main building and other 25 beds in a smaller building 100 meters far.
Inside the main building there is also a small spa.
The agritourism is a Visitor Center of the Appennino tosco emiliano National Park.
It has also available a multi – purpose court of man-made grass for five-a-side football, tennis, volleyball, in addition to a football pitch (soccer field) and a bocce (bowls) court.
In another separate building there’s the farm with 250 sheeps and the homemade production of the pecorino cheese from the Apennine.
The cuisine is rich of traditional dishes freshly prepared, using local products.
The specialties of lamb and mushrooms stand out.
Around the village of Succiso there are a lot of trails and paths of different level of difficulty for walking or mountain-bikes.
It’s possible to reach the lodges and bivouacs on the peak of the Alpe di Succiso.
During winter it’s possible to do ski mountaineering or ski touring.
In autumn this area is famous for picking mushrooms and others sports like fishing.
The agritourism works in partnership with Altri Passi (association of environmental guides), with the Cork Museum and with the Appennino tosco emiliano National Park, as one of the many Visitors Centers spread in the territory of the Park.
