The first stop on this itinerary is in Toano. Arriving here you can admire the Emilian Apennine mountain range as the town stands in a panoramic position overlooking the Dolo valley.
After leaving your car near the sports field, or even the municipal swimming pool, you can take a walk through the village.

Admire the view of the Dolo Valley
Visit Santa Maria Parish Church along Via Matilde di Canossa, the best preserved in the area from an architectural point of view, with archaeological excavations revealing the presence of a medieval castle.

The parish church is open by reservation and can be reached with a very short walk after parking in the square.
This relaxed first stop, it’s perfect to settle in and enjoy the first views together with your dog: from here the landscape in each season gives a different view with its colors.
From Toano, you move towards Quara, a breathtaking location surrounded by the Apennine nature and a place to explore the trail network.

Immersed in Apennine nature, Quara was founded by the ancient Romans, who had found thermal springs here, near the course of the Dolo stream, the ancient name was “Aquaria”.
