During the last weekend of August in Pianello Val Tidone, in the hills of Piacenza, two festivals take place.
The first is the 59th Cotechino Festival – Arts and Crafts Fair, which celebrates the delicacies, pork products and Piacenza PDO cured meats that reign supreme in Val Tidone, thanks to its numerous high-quality artisan charcuteries. This year it takes place on 23 August 2026.
Three days later, on 26 August 2026, it’s time to celebrate with the Grande Fiera d’Agosto (August Great Fair): a full day of agricultural machinery, craftsmen and hobbyists, featuring over 200 stalls, displays and exhibitions.
