From 30 April to 2 August, Parma hosts one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year: the great British artist Brian Eno brings to the city one of the most significant projects of his creative career.
After receiving the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Biennale in 2023, Eno chooses two iconic locations in the historic centre - the Monumental Complex of San Paolo and the Ospedale Vecchio - to reinvent them through his art and return them to the public.
Two projects to experience.
- In the Giardini di San Paolo, SEED comes to life: a site-specific sound installation created together with Turkish writer Ece Temelkuran, conceived specifically for this space. Installation for Giardini di San Paolo is a site-specific audio installation that consists of multiple tracks of generative music, all different, composed by Eno and broadcast over the entire 8,000 square meter area of the Giardini di San Paolo.
- At the Ospedale Vecchio, My Light Years awaits: for the first time in one place, in a broad and analytical way, the complete collection of Brian Eno's installations and audiovisual works, including the celebrated 77 Million Paintings (2006) and Face to Face (2022), two masterpieces.
A unique opportunity to discover Parma in a whole new light.
