Reggio Emilia hosts the Giarèda Festival, religious festival in honour of the Ghiara Blessed Virgin which takes place every year to celebrate the miracle of the healing of the deaf-mute Marchino.
The 46th edition will once again enliven the heart of Reggio Emilia, not only with religious celebrations and ancient traditions, but also as a true journey to rediscover the profound and indissoluble bond between humanity and its land.
There will be food markets and numerous opportunities to taste Reggio Emilia's finest products: from Parmigiano Reggiano DOP to Reggio Emilia Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, from Reggio Emilia Cappelletti and stuffed pasta to Erbazzone Reggiano, from the Borettana Onion to Pan de Re, from Novellara PGI Watermelon to Spongata, as well as exhibitions of fruit, flowers and vegetables, crafts, antiques and vintage items, greenery and nursery products.
