On 22nd November 2025, the Christmas festivities kick off in the historic center of Piacenza. In Piazza Cavalli, the traditional market with festive stalls will be set up, open daily until Christmas Eve.
On weekends, the arcades and the square will come alive with choirs, music, Santa Claus, and the Christmas train running through the streets of the center. In the evenings, the holiday lights will illuminate the main streets, spreading the magical atmosphere of Christmas.
During weekends, the former churches of Sant’Ilario and del Carmine, now home to Laboratorio Aperto, will host craft markets.
On 31st December, the traditional New Year’s Eve concert will take place at the Municipal Theatre at 6pm. The festive program concludes on 6th January, for Epiphany, when the Befana will appear tall and “monstrous” to distribute sweets to children, followed by the traditional Motobefana parade through the city.
