The activity promoted by the Ciampi Group in Piacenza has been going on since 1953. Every autumn it proposes the Settimana Organistica Internazionale (International Organ Week), a series of concerts celebrating the organs present in the city's churches.
The 2026 edition will open in the Chiesa dei Teatini, and then take place in the basilica of San Savino and the patronal church of Sant'Antonino, and will be held from 20 September to 15 November.
Artists from Italy, France and the Czech Republic will be performing, presenting pieces by great composers played on the organs of Piacenza’s churches. The opening night will feature Claudio Saltarelli’s two-act tragedy, dedicated to Grazia Deledda to mark the centenary of the writer’s Nobel Prize.
