September sees the start of a packed calendar of food and wine events that will take you on a journey of discovery of the region's most famous specialities, with tastings, meetings with producers and celebrations of tradition in the beautiful setting of the Visit Emilia region.
PIACENZA
- Taste and stroll: until 19 October, the festival is dedicated to wines, fermented products (water, flour and wines), truffles and forest products.
- Piacenza Shallot Festival: 4 - 7 September Castelvetro Piacentino celebrates its main vegetable, the shallot.
- Festa d'la Chisöla: 5 - 7 September, a festival dedicated to the most important food and wine product of Borgonovo Val Tidone.
- Coppa festival in Carpaneto Piacentino: 5 - 8 September, with food stands, a market and live music.
- Burtleina festival De.Co: 6 - 8 September, a food festival dedicated to bortellina in Casaliggio di Gragnano Trebbiense.
- Valtidone Wine Fest: 7 - 28 September, Piacenza wine is celebrated in the setting of the Val Tidone hills.
- Divine Sunset in Piacenza: 19 September, wine takes centre stage during an evening in the shadow of Palazzo Gotico.
- Chestnut Festival: 28 September, Vezzolacca hosts the “Bionda” Chestnut Festival in September.
- Mushroom and Truffle Exhibition and Grape Festival in Bobbio: 5 October, a market displaying local products takes place in the streets of the village from early morning.

- Lambrusco Nights: 29 August - 7 September in Gualtieri, a village festival where you can enjoy traditional dishes and, above all, drink good Lambrusco wine.
- Autumn sips: 3 September - 5 October Scandiano hosts three food and wine evenings featuring wine and beer.
- Sagra della Giarèda: 5–8 September religious festival, food markets and lots of opportunities to taste and discuss Reggio Emilia's finest products.
- 44th Mushroom Festival in Civago: 14 September, mycological exhibition, Civago porcini mushroom market exhibition, and market selling local products.
- Succiso Mushroom Festival: 13 - 14 September, an event promoting the local area and local porcini mushrooms.
- Grapes Festival: 17 - 21 September in Castellarano shows, cultural events, photographic exhibitions, historical re-enactments, market and much more.
- Pumpkin Fair: 20–28 September, numerous tastings and pumpkin-based specialities in Reggiolo.
- Lost Plants and Animals: 27 - 28 September, in Guastalla, an immense showcase of biodiversity.
