Guided tour of the Colorno Royal Palace, with a focus on the cuisine of the Duchy: the splendid residence of Empress Marie Louise of Austria, with its historic apartments and “French-style” garden.
Following this, the Tortél Dóls Grand Gala in Piazza Garibaldi, in front of the Royal Palace: sample the traditional first course with its sweet-and-sour filling, prepared with fruits from the Bassa region—quince, nobile pear, and white watermelon—along with cooked wine and mostarda. Don’t miss the Gara delle Rezdore, a competition among homemakers from the region’s municipalities to crown the best tortello of the year, as well as the cooking demonstrations and 100 local exhibitors.
