Nestled inside the wonderful natural setting of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park, the Febbio ski resort is located on the north side of Mount Cusna, with a 900-metre-long skiable descent that reaches a maximum altitude of 2,063 metres above sea level.
From up there, on clear days, you can enjoy a picturesque view of Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and Liguria, and the vast mountain ridge and landscape make the area suitable for Alpine and off-piste skiing in the natural ravines.
From the ski school level to the peak, the ski lifts offer a number of options for visitors and given the final height at the summit, snow can often be found here until late spring. From here, through the majestic beech forests, you can reach the peaks of Cusna, Piella, Vallestrina and Ravino, and then emerge onto the upland meadows, which means there are endless ways of skiing back down the mountain.
Snowboarders can enjoy fabulous freeriding trails, with natural ravines for half-pipe lovers. Plus, there is a cross-country skiing trail that is about 3 km long slightly further away from the entrance to the ski lift area, where you can rent the equipment you need or hire an experienced instructor. For children and families, there is also a specifically designed area with games and sledges and a bobsleigh track.
Febbio, however, is not just about skiing. The resort guarantees the best that a mountain can offer during both the winter and summer periods. This ranges from snowshoe trails, cycling and horse riding excursions, sport fishing and mountain biking to tandem paragliding and hang gliding.
