The theatre is open since 1907, but it was closed after the overflow of the Po River in 1951 and reopened in 2009.
It features a horseshoe pit, two orders of boxes and a gallery supported by cast-iron colums.
The location is the XVI century fortress- palace built for the will of Bentivoglio family, where the original tiny wooden baroque hall designed by Giovan Battista Fattori in 1775 has been rebuilt on a larger scale.
