At the beginning of the XX century this theatre was entitled to the legendary Italian actress Eleonora Duse who first performed at the age of 10. Originally hosted a convent and later it was converted into a theatre on commission from Maria Luigia of Austria (1826).
The building features a small horseshoe pit, two orders of boxes and the hall presents a decoration of flowres and garlands in the Reinassance style.
