Il Casello Farm, specializing in the production of wine from the hills of Piacenza, is based in the hamlet of Bacedasco Basso in the municipality of Vernasca, a town nestled in the green hills overlooking the Po Valley in the province of Piacenza.
The winery, established in the mid-1950s, has always been run by the Rigolli family, which combines the wisdom of traditional workmanship with the security of modern technology, offering guaranteed wine quality according to the strictest rules of the wine consortium.
The production vineyards, cultivated according to the guyot method, cover 18 hectares all in the area of Bacedasco Basso at 250 m above sea level.
They produce the typical Piacenza wines: Sparkling and Still Gutturnio, Barbera, Bonarda, Sparkling Ortugo and Malvasia dry and sweet.
