Risalita dei pesci

In the early 1960s, in the province of Piacenza, on the only inhabited island in the course of the Po River - Serafini Island - the construction of the dam disrupted the movement of fish species, especially migratory fish, contributing to their decline and, in some cases, their disappearance.

After half a century of interrupted migratory routes, in 2012 the European LIFE project Con.Flu.Po was funded, building the largest and most complex fish pass in Italy, restoring the ecological corridor of the Po.

Since 2021, the fish pass has been open to the public, free of charge for all types of users, families, schools and groups.
