The Castle of San Pietro in Cerro is a fortification builded in XII century; the jurisconsult Bartolomeo Barattieri ordered the reconstruction of the builiding between 1460 and 1491, as documented in the epigraph placed in knights' courtyard.
The fortress is entirely visitable: 30 halls richly furnished and finely decorated, the Armory, the exhibition Cina Millenaria - I Guerrieri di Xian set up in the underground and MIM - Museum in Motion, contemporary art collection set up in the ancient parape walk and barn of the attic.
