Hunt for... stones
Sunday 11 October 2026 from 10.30 am to 5 pm
A map, some clues and plenty of fun! As part of FAMU, a trail for children and families to search for coloured stones hidden throughout the castle, from the main floor to the cellars and the old icehouse. Children will need to explore the various rooms of the Wine and Fortress Museum, preferably accompanied by their parents or other adults. The event will go ahead even in the event of bad weather. Meet at the Wine Museum. In the afternoon, the Avis Chestnut Festival will take place in Piazza Gramsci.

Walk in the Carrega Woods
Sunday 18 October 2026, meet at 8.30 am
Imagine walking through the colours of autumn, following in the footsteps of Duchess Maria Amalia of Habsburg. From Rocca Sanvitale to the Boschi di Carrega Park, we will retrace the Duchess’s steps. Along the way, we will meet characters who will bring Maria Amalia’s life and fascinating stories to life. “Al gir d’la Malia” is a non-competitive walk that combines nature, culture and local curiosities. A small aperitif will be served at the end of the walk.
