"Maria Louigia Week" from 6 to 14 December 2025
The Lombardi Museum's flagship event, held each December to commemorate the birth and death of Duchess Maria Luigia of Habsburg, this year focuses on the sovereign's private correspondence with her daughter, a truly unique source of private and public news, curiosities, travels, and affection.
The first volume of letters, covering the years 1823-1833, has been transcribed and translated into a book that will constitute "Quaderno del Museo" no. 23.
This event is accompanied by a free exhibition on Maria Luigia's travels during this period, guided tours, and many other events, including a concert of Napoleonic music on fortepiano belonging to the Duchess.
