REGGIO EMILIA – MEMORIES OF THE PRESENT

Hidden memories and urban art – in dialogue with Fotografia Europea

A special route through the historic center and the northern area of the city, exploring places shaped by urban transformation. From Joan Fontcuberta’s collective work at the Chiostri di San Pietro to the Mirabello Stadium and the former Caffarri Feed Mill, we will walk between memory and contemporaneity—through places we no longer see in their original form and others that are gradually being emptied, transformed, and reimagined.
An itinerary dedicated to urban art, industrial architecture, and our “ghosts of everyday life,” in dialogue with the 2026 European Photography Festival.
