Following the artist residency that will take place in Piacenza from Tuesday 8 to Sunday 19 January 2025, the exhibition Photobuster Piacenza 2025 will be held from 7 February to 2 March 2025. The residency open to the public is located at Spazio BFT in vicolo Ediliza in Piacenza, and will host the exhibition XNL Piacenza, a space for contemporary arts in Via Santa Franca, directed by Paola Nicolin.
A photographic project dedicated to the marginal areas of the city.
Photobuster is a project that started with the Cesura group in 2009; for the 2025 edition, Arianna Arcara, Giorgio Dirindin, Chiara Fossati, Marco Zanella (Cesura), Dallavalle-Guerrieri, Elisabetta Granata, Patrizio Maiavacca, Marco Rigamonti (TIFF), Andrés E. Maloberti and Nicola Roda (La Città Minaccia) will participate.
The leading collectives Cesura, TIFF and La città minaccia will investigate different aspects, all tangential to the theme of peripheries.
TIFF will explore man-made and partly abandoned landscapes as evidence of the complex relationship between man, nature and the city in the contemporary world. Cesura will address the periphery, the edge of the city understood as a logistical hub, as places inhabited by new generations and places experienced by fragile people. La città minaccia will focus on the periphery understood as a social and cultural space far from the centre.
