From smaller parishes to dedicated halls, nativity representations in the Piacenza area are numerous and diverse.
Outstanding are the hundred characters that populate the small village of I Bersani, in the municipality of Gropparello. Here on the walls of the houses are told traditional fairy tales and fables, which serve as the backdrop for the nativity scene. The characters that are part of it represent jobs and ancient trades and are within everyone's reach because they are displayed in the gardens, in the spaces along the street that runs through this little jewel of the Val Chero.
Also rich in international nativity scenes are the exhibitions in Castell'Arquato “A World of Nativity Scenes” and the Rocca Pallavicino Casali in Monticelli, now in its 24th edition.
Participated and widespread is the Bobbio exhibition, where cribs are displayed outside homes and businesses.
