In December the Val d'Arda, the western valley of the Piacenza province hosts events, nativity scenes, markets, concerts, visits and excursions dedicated to Christmas and the end of the year.
In Val d'Arda, the two most famous villages are Vigoleno and Castell'Arquato, but following the river you will find other exceptional realities.
- The municipality of Lugagnano is in fact the starting point for excursions on Monte Giogo and includes in its territory an exceptional archaeological excavation at the town of Veleia Romana.
- The small town of Morfasso is perched on the hills, getting there allows you to see exciting glimpses of the hills, where you can then go wild on a mountain bike or choose to go hiking or snowshoeing.
- Opening the valley is the town of Fiorenzuola d'Arda, which from the beginning of December offers winter activities and, at the Collegiate Church and in the suburbs, many representations of the Nativity.
