Noteworthy, a 16th century marble statue depicting a Madonna with child kept in the local parish church. In the middle of the village, the double arched brigde known as the Roman bridge of Priors dates back to the Middle Ages.

Thanks to the stunning views, the beauty of the surroundings and the daring winding road this is a favourite destination for all motorbike lovers. Santa Maria del Taro is located on the Road of Prosciutto e dei vini dei colli (The Ham and Wine route of the Hills) and the Ippovia della Val Taro e Val Ceno.
