Situated in the valley of the torrent Rossendola.
The town was once an estate of Matilde di Canossa, but the only remains of this ancient past are a few carved stones amongst which the keystone of a 17th C gateway with coat of arms and date.
Today, Ospidaletto is a tourist resort, popular in the summer and autumn for the abundance of it wild woodland fruit. and back-packing trails, and in the winter for its downhill and cross-country skiing.
