Cassio is a typical medieval town along the Francigena Way and, as such, makes an interesting stop.
The 15th C frescoes depicting Saint John the Baptist and Saint Benedict in the dell'Assunta Church are noteworthy.
Monuments of particular interest are: Museo Civiltà Contadina (Ozzano Taro); Chiesa di San Prospero (XI secolo) and Villa Nevicati (primo '800).
A short distance from Cassio the Salti del Diavolo, rocky needles and indented crests extend over 5 kilometres.
