Busana is a natural balcony over the Secchia Valley and the Ozola Valley opposite, which slopes down from the wild northwestern summits of Mount Cusna.
The town is completely immersed in greenery and surrounded by ancient chestnut forests.
A little higher up, near to the peaks of Mount Ventasso, begin the beach woods which end in high altitude meadows.
Busana is an old settlement and its name appears in the territorial division that the Romans called “Ager Frinianus” in the second century B.C.
