Bardone lies on the slopes of Mount Prinzera, on the high ground that dominates the Sporzana Valley.
It’s a small village of lombard origin with the medieval town centre stll intact.
A place to stay for pilgrims travelling the Via Francigena Route, in Bardone you can find the Pieve di Santa Maria Assunta, ancient parrish church of Our Lady of the Assumption, already famous in 1004, where you can see precious sculptures inspired by Antelami dating from the XII and XIV century.
