The castle of Grazzano Visconti dates back to 1395 and it was used as a fortress.
It was restructured in 1895 by Duke Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone and it combines elements of medieval and neo gothic architecture and was used as a summer residence.
This is one of the places where great opera and film director Luchino Visconti spent many of his summers.
It is immersed in a 12 hectares garden (which is part of the circuit “Grandi Giardini Italiani” since 2008 ), rich in old-centuries trees, roses and hydrangeas.
This is a family residence and managed by the same family still today. Since 2018 it has been opened to visitors.
