The Compiano Castle will expand its cultural offer based on the two permanent collections of the Raimondi Gambarotta House Museum and the International Museum of Freemasonry, with the temporary exhibition entitled Readings of a Marchioness: pages of history and fiction from the 17th century to the present day, which sees the sorting and study of a conspicuous number of volumes spanning over 300 years of the history of book ars. This rich heritage, still preserved among the wooden shelves of the library on the ground floor of Compiano Castle, bears witness to Lina Raimondi ved. Gambarotta's varied publishing interests and friendship with 20th-century authors. The exhibition is intended as a tribute to the castle's last owner and resident, to whom studies are being dedicated to explore her collecting tastes and passions. The exhibition was curated by museum curator Chiara Palumbo and Irene Roveroni, a former museum guide and trainee in the field of collection cataloguing. The event boasts the patronage of the Association of the Castles of the Duchy, of which our Castle is a proud member.

Borgo di Casale s.r.l. di Maurizio Sanvido, the company that manages the Compiano Castle, and Travel-Lab s.a.s di Stefano Costa, its tourism partner, are the financial partners of the project, which is flanked by technical partners: Galleria Ghiggini of Varese for the loan of works and the Seminario of Bedonia for the loan of media related to the exhibition. In addition to the aforementioned book heritage, the exhibition also includes photographic and documentary material, as well as paintings and printed works, and will be open to the public from 12 April to 30 September 2024.
