Every year towards the end of March, wild tulips bloom in a grove in the shade of high walls on the banks of the River Trebbia.
We have decided to offer an exclusive guided tour where, in addition to the castle, you can admire the unique flower. Unfortunately, the flowers cannot be picked, as it is a very fragile and unique flower.
The wild tulip is a bulbous plant belonging to the Liliaceae family. The flowers are solitary, bell-shaped, slightly curved and have six elliptical, lance-shaped petals that are yellow on the inside and fade to orange or red on the outside. The flowers have always grown in the grove under the fortified walls of Rivalta Castle and this year we decided to show them to visitors again.
