Federscherma chooses the city of Piacenza for the Campionati Italiani Assoluti di scherma olimpica Frecciarossa a Piacenza (Fencing Italian Absolute Championships “Frecciarossa”) 2025. First edition of the Tricolour Individual and Team A1 Championships of the new four-year Olympic period.
From 5 to 10 June 2025 fencers will duel at Piacenza Expo and, on the occasion of the grand finale, at the Palabanca Sport.
The city of Piacenza has a long tradition in fencing, the Pettorelli club celebrates 70 years since its foundation in 2025, and has hosted the national team championships in March for several years. On the days of the event, the club will promote related events in the area.
For the occasion, special medals have been created with the effigy of the equestrian monument of Alessandro Farnese in Piazza Cavalli to represent the city of Piacenza.
