Now in its 52nd year, the Granfondo Matildica cycling competition returns on August 25, 2024.
The European championship race starts from the city of Reggio Emilia and goes all the way to Castelnovo ne' Monti, passing through many towns in the Reggio Emilia Apennines.
UCI Gran Fondo World Series stages are scheduled:
1) Grandondo Long Course
Length: 155 km
Elevation gain: 2100 m+
Stage UCI Gran Fondo World Series
Categories: Women and Men 19-49 (19-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49)
2) Mediofondo Route
Length: 119 km
Elevation gain: 1400 m+
Stage UCI Gran Fondo World Series
Categories: Women and Men 50+ (50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75+)
