From September 5 to 20, 2026, the Rocca Sanvitale in Sala Baganza, just a short distance from Parma, hosts Trame a Corte - the 23rd International Fiber Art Competition. Titled “The Spirituality of Abstraction,” this competition organized by the Arcadia Cultural Association is unique in Italy and has a collection of works that is one of a kind in Europe, bringing textile artists from many Italian cities as well as from Australia, the United States, Canada, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Norway, Poland, Argentina, and South Africa to Sala Baganza.
The textile works tell the story of a kaleidoscopic world connected to the slowness of handcraft, but also a frontier space for research between craftsmanship and design.
The works in the competition will be on display on the main floor of the Rocca. During the exhibition period, it will be possible to join workshops and labs dedicated to textile art (reservation required).
