The 2026 edition of the ColornoPhotoLife photography festival will take place from September 25 to November 8 in Colorno (Parma), hosted at the Aranciaia and the Prince’s Apartment within the Royal Palace. Monika Bulaj and Folco Quilici are the featured figures of this new edition.
This festival of photography and visual culture presents 15 photographic projects by established and emerging artists, unified by a curatorial theme: "Infinite Travel: Geographies of Otherness."
The exhibition layout at the Aranciaia comprises seven shows on the ground floor and seven on the first floor of the MUPAC Museum building—a total of fourteen exhibitions that establish the Aranciaia as the festival's exhibition hub.
The edition's flagship exhibition is *Mosaico Europa* (Mosaic Europe) by Monika Bulaj, curated by Ascanio Kurkumelis: 80 large-format images that recount the complexities of contemporary Europe through its borders, migrations, and cultural minorities. The festival pays tribute to Folco Quilici with the exhibition *Testimone del mondo* (Witness to the World), curated by Roberto Mutti. Rounding out the ground floor are: *Armenia, Alfabeto Umano* (Armenia, Human Alphabet), a group show by Silvia Camporesi, Antonella Monzoni, and Gigi Montali; *Hope Amid Destruction* by Italo Rondinella (curated by Ascanio Kurkumelis); the retrospective *Il viaggio dentro* (The Inner Journey) by Ivano Bolondi and *Crossing in the Road* by Silvano Bicocchi (who curated both exhibitions); and the group show *Winners* (curated by Angelo Cucchetto), featuring the winning works from the international Travel Tales Award (TTA) competition.
On the first floor, the itinerary is enriched by seven exhibitions focusing on major awards and contemporary curatorial perspectives.
The exclusive setting of the Prince’s Apartment within the Royal Palace of Colorno hosts a photographic exhibition of extraordinary historical and artistic value: *Viaggio nel passato del parco della Reggia di Colorno* (Journey into the Past of the Royal Palace of Colorno Park). The exhibition stems from a major project to digitize Glauco Lombardi’s original negatives—now part of the collection at the museum bearing his name, as well as various private collections.
The opening weekend runs from September 25 to 27, featuring a rich program of workshops and masterclasses, the prestigious *Portfolio Italia* (FIAF) event, and a new edition of *Read Zine* with the Leica Prize.
