Emilia in Festival

From the enchanted scenery of castles to the villages of the Apennine Park, from the courtyards of cities of art to the banks of the river Po and Verdi's theatres, summer in Emilia is a concentration of original festivals: concerts, shows, theatre, opera, cinema, exhibitions and meetings give life to a kaleidoscope of events that unite people, cultures and territories all to be discovered!

MUSIC:

• LOST - Labyrinth Original Sound Track: from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 July, the Labirinto della Masone presents the international festival dedicated to artistic and musical experimentation.
• Montecchio Unplugged: 5 July 2025, the Street Music Festival.
• Festival Illica: from 4 to 7 July, the charming village of Castell'Arquato (PC) honours the famous composer Luigi Illica.
• Festival Toscanini: from 14 June to 9 July 2025, with 11 concerts and a round table, in Parma and in distinguished venues in the province.
• Travo Balafolk: Friday 11 July, with the historic Emilian band I Nomadi.
• Summer Reggia Opera Festvial: from 26 June to 19 July 2025, in the splendid historic garden of the Reggia di Colorno (PR), an event dedicated to opera, symphonic music and dance.
• Irlanda in Musica: Friday 25 and Saturday 26 July, Celtic music with live concerts in Bobbio.
• Val Tidone Festival: from 1 June to 5 August, a summer music festival in the villages of the valley on the western border of the province of Piacenza.
• Note in Valle: from 16 July to 19 August 2025, brings music to some little-known and picturesque places in the Trebbia Valley.
• Summertime in Jazz: from 9 July to 24 August, it touches upon some places in the province of Piacenza, offering a unique opportunity to get to know the many historical, architectural and naturalistic excellences of the area, strictly to the rhythm of music.
• Musica in Castello:  from 19 June to 5 September 2025, an assortment of shows with free admission featuring national and international artists in exceptional locations.

CULTURE:

• Festival di Teatro Antico di Veleia 2025: from 21 June to 22 July, among the rolling hills of Piacenza, the magic of theatre as a civil rite, inspired by the classical Greek tradition, returns to life at Veleia Romana.
• Fol in fest: from 23 to 27 July, a travelling event with music, excursions, shows and meetings, in the Piacenza Apennines.
• Festival Mundus: from 30 June to 1 August, a 30-year-long music festival held in several municipalities in the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Modena and, for the first time, in Parma.
• Serate letterarie Giana Anguissola: from 28 June to 30 August, in the village of Travo, a series of meetings between books, music and theatre.
• La Settimana della Letteratura a Bobbio:  from 18 to 23 August, a rich programme of presentations, meetings with authors, music and lectures.
• Val Nure Festival: from 7 June to 23 August 2025, meetings and presentations in the presence of journalists and historians.
• Piacenza Summer Cult: from 19 June to 16 July and from 5 to 7 September 2025 the summer festival of shows, concerts, dance, prose, opera and theatre in Piacenza returns.
• Festival del Pensare Contemporaneo: from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 September 2025, in the city of Piacenza, the event is entitled “Lives Unveiled”.
• Appennino Festival: from 3 August to 28 September, a festival of traditional music, singing and dancing.

CINEMA: 

• Bobbio Film Festival: from 2 to 9 August in the cloister of San Colombano Abbey, the brainchild of director Marco Bellocchio.
• Concorto Film Festival: from 16 to 23 August 2025, at Parco Raggio in Pontenute (PC), an international short film competition.
