The Palace of Museums in Reggio Emilia hosts, inside the new staging by the architect Italo Rota, a wide photographic section in which, for the first time in Italy, an entire section has been dedicated to the photographer Luigi Ghirri (Scandiano, RE, 1943 - Reggio Emilia, 1992).
As evidence of his great photographic heritage, the town of Reggio Emilia keeps in the Panizzi Library the collection of negatives and colour as well as other format slides by Luigi Ghirri, consisting of more than 180,000 pieces.
This year, on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of his death, there will be conferences, workshops, meetings and exhibition events.
